Many people write about how to lose weight and what you need to eat and how you should exercise. I am going to focus more on the issue of getting yourself to become motivated to lose that weight. Let's face it, the bigger you are the longer it is going to take to lose weight. Not only is it going to take longer, but it will also require hard work and dedication. This isn't an easy task for most people, regardless if you are a man or a woman.
You will hear many people talk about how easy it is and recommend you to just watch what you eat and exercise. You tell me, how many times have you heard this line? The truth is this, skinny people just do not understand what it's like to be severely overweight. They don't know what it's like to be that big, the want to give up all the time, the depression, and the lack of motivation you may have to get up and exercise. I am here to let you know not what you need to do but rather to let you know that you are not alone. Yes, you will have a hard time and you will face challenges and even have times as though you will feel that you're not losing any weight and it isn't working.
Here is what you need to know. You have to remember that you're not doing this for anyone other than yourself. You're not doing it for your spouse, family, or friends. Honestly, if these people cannot accept you the way you are, they aren't worth having around and definitely not the right support system you will need. You don't need anyone that is going to put you down, only people who will support and encourage you to keep going. You need to get rid of our negative surroundings.
Have people around you that are going to keep you strong and tell you that "YOU CAN DO THIS" because you can do this. Don't let anyone or anything stop you from reaching your goal or at least trying. You may not get to your ideal weight, but don't worry about the pounds. When you can actually look yourself in the mirror and see a difference, that is going to motivate you to keep going, and that is SUCCESS no matter what anyone else tells you. The fact that you are trying is a great start and if you are trying and feel like your failing, give yourself a pat on the back because that is hard work. The hardest part of it all is to start and not give up.
Start slow and get used to it, whether your dieting, exercising or possibly both you get an E for effort. I will be writing more tips about things you can do but for now I just want to encourage you to be strong and keep going. Attempting to lose weight is not as easy job for anyone but the best thing you can do is to be strong and stay motivated. Things to help you will be to stay positive, have someone as your support system, and maybe have a partner to do this with. Many times it is easier to lose weight if you have a partner to do it with to keep each other motivated and encourage each other.
My next article will talk about things you can do to lose weight for beginners but for now, start slow and remember you're doing this for you and no one else. Losing weight will lead you to a healthier and happier you. Good luck
